Pro-Tec Aero-Blend petroleum products have been formulated specifically for the aircraft
engines. It is an exclusive metal-treating mixture designed to blend and
circulate with the oil of the aircraft reciprocating engine in order to
reach the engine's metal surfaces. Aero-Blend helps improve operating temperatures,
prevent sticky rings and valves by reducing sludge accumulation, extend
the life of the engine, protect the oil-deprived metal parts during
start-up, reduce wear on valves and valve stems, prevent acid corrosion.
Aero-Blend is a unique metal treatment which chemically treats the
internal metal surfaces of the aircraft engines to form a protective single
molecule depth of lubricant coating, hereby reducing thermal build up.
Aero-Blend's conditioning compound works under extreme temperatures, yet
it does not contain solid particles such as moly, teflon, lead, etc. It will
not settle, separate or "sludge out." Aero-Blend treats the
internal metal surfaces of the engine by chemically ionizing with the
metal creating a protective barrier less than one molecule thick.
The result is a smoother running engine, with less friction related wear
and heat. And since this treatment is residual, the engine oil does not
have to be in continuous circulation for Aero-Blend to provide its
protection. This also protects the engine components during cold
starts. FAA APPROVED Aero-Blend has been subjected to rigorous
testing by engine manufacturers and the University of Illinois, meeting
the requirements of the FAA. Results of these tests have yielded
approval of Aero-Blend by the FAA and the issuance of a Supplemental
Type Certificate (STC SE1445SO). Test results confirm that Aero-Blend
reduces wear on moving parts in the engine and that in several areas in
which wear is normally expected to be excessive, the measurable wear was
reduced to zero! Test conclusions are based on the performance and
teardown inspection of the required engine endurance test outlined in
FAA AC 20-24A, during which Aero-Blend was used to treat the moving
metal parts of the engine. APPLICATION: Add 1 1/2 - 2 oz. of Aero-Blend
per quart of petroleum or synthetic aviation oil in the aircraft
reciprocating engine. Aero-Blend should be used at every oil change.
